What we believe

Lutherans believe that because of our Baptism in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit we are Christians and God meets us where we are in life.  God even meets us in our pain, weakness, and doubts - offering us love, acceptance and forgiveness through Jesus Christ, God's Son.  Lutherans teach that through the hearing of God's Word, the Holy Spirit points us to Jesus Christ as our only hope and promise for salvation - salvation because of his suffering and death on the cross, and not because of anything we can possibly do.  Lutherans believe that all baptized Christians are justified by grace through faith; that because of Jesus Christ, we are all accepted as Children of God - a gift of God that we do not deserve - a gift in which we put our trust.
