Ecumenical Events

St. Paul’s Lutheran Church is an ecumenical church!  This means that we value other church denominations and we strive to lift up our unity rather than our differences.  While our church may have different beliefs than some other churches, it is our faith in Christ that unites us all.  We live our ecumenical beliefs by celebrating “open communion” at St. Paul’s!  This means that you can celebrate the Lord’s Supper in our church whether you are a Lutheran Christian or a Christian of a different denomination- All are welcome!

St. Paul’s members also join together with other churches in our community several times each year to worship as one.  We celebrate Thanksgiving Eve and Christmas Day services with other Lutherans, Catholics, Methodists, Baptists, United Church of Christ and non-denominational churches.  Each Good Friday, we join together with these same churches to remember Christ’s ultimate sacrifice for our sins.

All the offerings from the ecumenical services go to the Medford Clergy Association to help those in our community who are in need.
