 BabyCareKits 2013

In 2013, St. Paul's collected items to make 41 LWR Baby Care Kits. Jordan Egle, one of St. Paul's youth, organized the LWR Baby Care Kit program as part of his Eagle Scout Project.  Each Baby Care Kit contained: socks, blankets, shirts, diapers, sleepers, and soap.  Thanks to all who donated items!  (to the right is a photo of Jordan and other troop members with the assembled kits.

In 2012, St. Paul's collected items to make 112 LWR School Kits!  These kits included:

  • Four 70-sheet notebooks of wide or college ruled paper (no loose-leaf paper)
  • One 30-centimeter ruler or a ruler with centimeters on one side and inches on the other
  • One pencil sharpener
  • One blunt scissors (safety scissors with embedded steel blades work well)
  • Five unsharpened #2 pencils with erasers; secure together with a rubber band
  • Five black or blue ballpoint pens (no gel ink); secure together with a rubber band
  • One box of 16 or 24 crayons
  • One 2 1/2" eraser

In 2011, St. Paul's collected items to make 46 LWR Personal Care Kits!  These kits included:

  • One light-weight bath-size towel (maximum 52” X 27”), dark color recommended
  • Two bath-size bars (4 to 5 oz.) of soap, any brand, in original wrapping
  • One adult-size toothbrush in its original packaging
  • One sturdy comb, remove packaging
  • One metal nail clippers (attached file optional), remove packaging

The kits are assembled at St. Paul's, sent to a regional warehouse and then are shipped all over the world to those in need.  Below is a photo of children in Africa receiving care kits (LWR)

Another LWR ministry active at St. Paul's is the creation of LWR Quilts.  St. Paul's Needles for Needs quilting group is in charge of making and shipping out LWR quilts to those in need across the world.  The quilting group is always in need of donations of fabric and sewing supplies.  These donations can be placed in the bin located in the narthex.
